The leather used for many leashes is typically 10 ounces or less. Our standard leash is a heavier, better quality 10-12 ounce vegetable tanned leather (this standard leash is aslo available on our site). The leather used for this extra heavy leash weighs 12-14 ounces. You'll see and feel the difference!
Snap closure is made from solid brass or solid stainless steel. Our snap closures are more durable are solid brass and stainless steel, not 'plated' like others.
